What format do I regular shoot
What format do I regular shoot? A good question. I tend to lean toward the 4×5 format, finally available in camera with my Nikon D800. The reason for this is that I find it eliminate some compositional problems that I personally have with the edges of the frame. With the native format of the senor I feel the frame is just a little bit to wide and I tend to make compromises with my self esteiquely. Also I find the frame more in tune with what my vision of sight is. The native frame feel more like viewing through a balaclava or the window of a tank. What’s the “cost”? With…

A rather blustery day
It’s been pouring down for weeks and the mood has gone blue. As the light and drama have been abscent, it’s always a treat when the grey sky breaks and gives way for some good landscapes with drama. The shots here were taken at Lindesnes lighthouse at Lindesnes in Vest-Agder county. Nikon D200, Tamron SP lenses and captures on SanDisk digital film.

The Camera
In light of a discussion on facebook, the subject of what is important when it comes to what one should learn about cameras that’s important to take good photographs. And I would like to share with you reads what I think is the most important things to learn. 1. Aperture. This controlls the sharpness of the depth of the light that fall on the CCD/CMOS-chip or film. Without the knowlegde to control your depth of field, you will not have the creative control to do the most important part in photography, namely eliminating parts that’s not telling your story. A portrait with sharp background will in most cases only be…

The micro-stock photographer
Early on I’ve always wanted to do stockphotography. This is what many of my photographic heros have been doing with their pictures, and now I taken the plunge into stockphotography. I’ve started with micro-stock agencies since I have not got a big name in the photographic community. For me this is just a start and way to see if I got what it takes. For now, it’s just for fun, but if I earn a buck or two that’s the bonus or the carrot to carry on. For now I’m connected to: –Yay micro –Crestock –IMGS –iStock There will also be a shift in the portfolio that’s availible at ARTFLAKES.…

Morgenbladet.no – Norsk pelsdyroppdrett bør avvikles
Morgenbladet.no – Norsk pelsdyroppdrett bør avvikles Sorry that the newsarticle is norwegian, but this is a good fight. We molest and mistreat animals for our own vanity, and the goverment of my country subsidies this crule industry. So the reason I give this link is to share with you some view that change is needed.
