A Triumph of Resilience: Knotten’s Return from the Repair Shop

Hi there, my dear followers!

I’m thrilled to share a tale of triumph and tenacity. The much-awaited return of my beloved RV, Knotten, after an unforeseen hiatus. Join me on this journey of resilience as we recount the challenges, the camaraderie, and the joyous moment when Knotten hit the road once again.

In the wake of the unexpected twist that July brought, Kaddy and I have now charted a course southward, in the direction of Trondheim. Senja’s captivating landscapes were left behind as we ventured towards new horizons. Our next stop was Bardufoss – a place that, on this voyage, became a symbol of patience, perseverance, and a touch of sweltering anticipation.

From Senja, we journeyed to Bardufoss on a Sunday evening. Fueled by the news that Knotten would be ready to reclaim the road on Monday, July 31st. However, the wheels of fate turned differently. Lians Caravan & Fritid, our allies in Knotten’s revival, encountered a minor setback. A case of getting the wrong brake pads delivered. And so, we found ourselves in a familiar spot – waiting.

Waiting in Fredda for Knotten to be done.

Tuesday dawned, bringing with it a mix of eagerness and uncertainty. The day unfurled slowly, accompanied by the silence of a phone that refused to ring. Just as the shadows grew long and the day was almost done, a ray of hope broke through. An hour before closing time, my phone finally chimed with the news we had been longing for – Knotten was ready to roll.

My reunion with Knotten at Lians Caravan & Fritid was a moment long awaited. There he stood. Not just repaired, but with renewed trust. A true testament to the dedication of the repair team. Alongside my beloved Knotten, we were handed a papers detailing the care and attention Knotten had received during his stay.

On the road again.

Lians Caravan & Fritid expertise shone through in every nut and bolt:

  • The left hind wheel’s brake drum and ball bearings found new purpose
  • Fresh brake bands embraced both hind wheels, promising safer journeys
  • Renewed brake discs and brake pads adorned the front, ready to conquer the road
  • The stubborn piston in the right-side brake calliper was coaxed back to life

A heartfelt salute is due to Lians Caravan & Fritid. Who not only repaired my beloved RV, but also delved into the challenge of sourcing parts for a 24-year-old vehicle. Their dedication and determination deserve a standing ovation.

As Knotten’s engine hums contently, I find myself lost in thought, contemplating the remarkable resilience that has carried us through. Challenges may have momentarily slowed our progress, but they’ve woven an intricate tapestry of experiences that enrich our adventure.

Wishing you smooth roads and countless adventures ahead!

Warm regards,
Toffa and Knotten
