Image of the Week 41 – 2021

This week’s image is a vista showing Obrestad fyr (Obrestad Lighthouse) at spring time. An older image I revisted this year and did some changes to compared to the original composion. As you might know, I’m not much fan of my older 3:2 aspect ratio compositions, so this one got the 5×4 treatment as well, and I must say it benefited from this crop. It removed some more troublesome shadow areas in the extremes of the image, as well as made lens distortion in the horizon less obvious. Also for me it gave the composition more grounding compared to how I shot it. This is also a composition I might return to this spring to see if I can make another go at it when I have simular weather conditions, but shooting it with my current workflow and mindset.
