Some updates
As some of you may know, I’m moving from my old website at Zenfolio to Photoshelter. The move has been painless, and I must say that Zenfolio did all they could to keep me there by giving me a discount on this year, but since they can’t offer what I need, I had to leave. All in all I parted from Zenfolio with a sad heart, and a positive experience. So for those of you out there in search a good website host that offers a easy and great way to edit and setting up your website which include an integrated blog pluss great portfolio display, take a good look…

What’s happening
I thought I would give you a short update on what is happening at Studio Toffa Photography lately. Some of may have noticed that there’s been a stop in the weekly images I post, and other there has been other signs that I’ve been working on something new. This is right. After a year at Zenfolio, I’m moving my website from this serviceprovider to Photoshelter. This is not because Zenfolio have treated me bad, but the type of service they provide, don’t fit what I need. I sell most of my images as stock images or downloads, and Zenfolio is more geared toward prints. Also the webstore they have, is…

Musikkfest 2013 Stavanger
Today there have been the annual Musikkfest in Stavanger (Norway). The town have had many stages where mostly unknown local bands and performers have performed. I didn’t cover the event like I did in 2011, but just a little peek to see some of the life during the event, and to hear Joanne Kleppe play.

The gear I use revisited
– The original blogpost: “The Gear I Use” Since I first posted “The Gear I Use”, there’s been many updates to what gear I use, so I thought that I’ll let you in on what I’m currently using. Camera This is where the major update have been done. I no longer uses the Nikon D200 as my main camera body, but have upgraded it to Nikokn’s D800. My old D200 only gave a resolution of 10 MP which only just was enough for what I do, which is mainly landscapes for fine art and stock libraries. I have for a long time wanted to make the move to medium format, but…

A personal review of the Lowepro DryZone Rover backpack and how it fits into my own photography. This is by no mean a professional review, just my personal one.

Where to begin…
So you got your first DSLR or advanced point and shoot and you want to expand your shooting to more then just snaps of the family and holiday documentation, then landscapes can be a great place to start. Many people are afraid of portraits and with landscapes you don’t have to work with the human element. Since landscapes surrounds us, it’s also easier to find subject, and you don’t have to ask the landscape to shoot it. Don’t think that need to travle to some far away and remote location to capture some great shots. To start with landscapes you don’t need that much gear. A camera, a zoom-lens with…

Fall of 2012
The trip to Dovre and Rondane didn’t go as I’ve planed. I had hoped for some eyepopping colour, but it turned out that the golden colours of autumn had passed the week before we arrived. Well, one can’t hit the jackpot every time. So here are some of the shots I grabbed on the road. Limavatnet, Gjesdal, Rogaland. Honnevje, Valle, Aust-Agder. Eidsborg, Tokke, Telemark. Eidsborg, Tokke, Telemark. Eidsborg, Tokke, Telemark. Dovrefjell, Dovre, Oppland. Lemonsjøen, Vågå, Oppland. Jotunheimen, Vågå, Oppland.
