Woven Hand
Woven Hand, a set on Flickr. As some of you may know, I didn’t start out as a landscape/nature photographer. I started out as a consertphotographer, running for many years the “Fotogjengen” at Folken i Stavanger. So I thought that you now should have a chance to se some of my consertphotos. Since Wovenhand is one of my favorite bands, I made a set of my picture I shot of them in 2006 at Folken. So now you can enjoy something completly different. 🙂 All pictures are shot with Nikon D70, Sigma EX lenses and captured on SanDisk Ultra digital film.

Messed up March
It’s been a quite a warm February with little snow and more rain. But now the weather is a bit on the odd side. For the last couple of days there have been snowing. What’s up with that. We had snow in December and January, but it melted, and now it returns. Well well, personally I hope there’ll be more as the snow makes for good pictures. The only problem with Stavanger when it snows, nearly all drivers goes crazy and fears the slippery road as if they can’t drive. Well, I’ll live. 😛 The view from my balcony overlooking Ulsberget and with the Dalsnuten in the distance. Now we’ll be…

Man or animal?
Even though I normally post my pictures here, I would like to share some thoughts I have about us as a part of nature. For me every thing is a part of nature. None of us are above it just because we’re humans. Yes we can manipulate our habitat, but with that power comes a responsabilty to care for nature. If sheepfarmers have problems with predators that stalk and hunt their animals, well then they have to employ a herder, and not go on a rampage with their hunting buddies to kill every animal they suspect could be the guilty one. The same goes for the nature it self. Even…

Baptised in snow and ice
Here are some pictures from my trip to Sirdalen (Sir Valley) in West-Agder county. This was a rather spontanious trip in some part as I’ve only planed for a trip to Gyadalen (Gya Valley), but as I saw that the weather was getting better further in valley I just kept driving. Not only were my aim to take some new pictures, but I was also out to test my new Nikon MB-D200, that I resently purchased. In the beginning of the trip through Sirdalen, few opertunities presented them self as any striking scenes for photography as the sun was high and the valley was filled with snow. I began to…
