RIP STUDIO TOFFA PHOTOGRAPHY 2011-2021

RIP
Studio Toffa Photography

(2011-2021)

Don’t worry, I’m not dead, dying or terminal ill (at least as far as I know). For those of you who were worried about that, rest assured, I’m fine. No, what’s dead is the moniker of Studio Toffa Photography (STP). On account of my health and mental well being I’ve come to the conclusion that I can’t see a future for STP being so tied to the music scene and concert and music photography.

Furtur on now, as I now see it, is totally different from what STP covered. A rebrand of STP is not viable. I need a form of clean slate to build the future for my photography from here. The course I chosen for now is not focused on music and concerts.

The road ahead

Now I’ll focus on fine art landscape and nature photography. Yes, I know Studio Toffa Photography started out as a landscape and nature focused output channel. Since 2014 however my photography have been mainly driven toward music scene. This is what I see the moniker Studio Toffa Photography (STP) is mostly associated with.

The years I’ve spent in the photo pit been great. The gigs I’ve experienced and captured have been an amazing experience. Not to mention all the people I’ve met and got to know along the road have been great through the years I spent running STP. So thanks to all who been there to make it a great experience. But all good things must come to an end, and now it’s that time for my photography and the music scene.

What now?

This departure of Studio Toffa Photography will bring on changes in practice from what have been the norm from earlier. This will also be with regards to use of the images online/facebook. Since I’m no longer doing any music/concert photography, I will be taking down the galleries that I have on the facebook-page. For those of you who still wish to have those pictures on your band’s Facebook page need to download them before January of 2022. After that they will no longer be available as they were.

As of January 2022

After January 2022 all images will only be available as stock images with Rights Managed Licence. This mean that you will have to purchase a licence for the specific use you need. Only the old watermarked images you’ve downloaded will still be available to use as earlier. The watermark must not be removed as mentioned earlier. Any removal will be regarded as copyright infringement. If you need to alter the crop or anything else, you will now need to purchase an images licence. Those who have purchased images/licences prior to January of 2022 will still retain their Royalty Free Licence.

Prints

I will provide the options for you to buy prints if you wish. These will be printed on as standard photographic prints by Loxley Colour. They will be reasonably priced, and available in sizes that range from postcard size up to A3. The reason why these will not come on fine art paper as most of my landscape/nature prints is because this would prevent me from pricing the print reasonably. For any custom orders, contact me for details and prices. For regular prints up to A3 that you’re just interested in use the available online option.

Personal use

I’ve made two digital download options available depending on what type of use you’re interested in. For those of you who only need a digital download for your personal use there now a option for this. This is for :

– getting prints by a different print lab

– using it for your personal sosial media profile (no band artist pages, recordlabels, etc. For this a commercial licence is needed) or blog (personal fanpages is allowed)

– other non-commercial use.

Commercial use

For all commercial use you still need to buy a Rights Managed licence as I mentioned. This is using an image to:

– printing posters for your band

– album sleave/booklet

– your band’s website

– other commercial uses not mentioned above
