RIP STUDIO TOFFA PHOTOGRAPHY 2011-2021
Don’t worry, I’m not dead, dying or terminal ill (at least as I know). So for those of you who were worried about that, rest assured I’m fine. No, what’s dead is the moniker of Studio Toffa Photography (STP).

Lars Hertervig
A little different from what I normally post about. Since I’m mostly all about photography I thought I should let you guys into what inspires me beside photography. One little “secret” that some of you might not know is that I’m very inspired by the old Norwegian National Romantic painters when it comes to my landscapes. Even though I love to shoot in black and white I love the use of light and drama that many of these painters had in their images. One of these painters are Lars Hertervig, and that is the artist I want to talk about here. Lars Hertervig Lars Hertervig is one of Norway’s formost…

Håtangen, Hå, Rogaland, Norway
Håtangen, Hå, Rogaland, Norway Håtangen Pebbelbeach at Obrestad, Hå, Rogaland, Norway. I just love this little location along the coast of Jæren (Rogaland, Norway). The scene with the automated lighthouse and the boathouses with the sheltered pool in front is just a place I like to return to shoot again and again. Håtangen is also a location used for birdwatch. This image is available as either a fine art print or a alumini (mounted) print. https://studiotoffa.photoshelter.com/gallery-image/Colour-Prints/G0000ZDPOCnLvkp4/I0000d.ri8VKvaVQ/C0000YLm87sEm9qU Follow me: Instagram Facebook Exif: Nikon D800, Nikkor 28mm f/2.8D @ 28mm 2 sec @ f/16 ISO 100

Image of the month – and some new updates…
I know my blog has been silent for some time, but it’s a new year (ok, we’re in March so it’s been three months already, but we’re just starting in spring) and new changes. Some of you may have noticed that I’ve redone my website, and the old domain of “www.studio-toffa.com” is back in use. With this comes a new change. That is that I will end the column “Image of the Week” in my blog. Beginning in april there will only be one new image each month. The reason for this is that I found that I’m not able to uphold the post with a new image each week.…

Image of the Week 45 – 2013
A new week, and that means? Yes, a new image. Also this image features one of my favorite subjects, lighthouses. This time it a small automated one. Since most of the lighthouses in Norway have been depopulated, they’ve all been automated. The buildings are still standing, but many of the old lighthouses have now been converted into something new, like museum, art gallery or vacationhome that is possible to rent in the summer season. This lighthouse here is found at Nærland, a stone throw away from Obrestad fyr (lighthouse) and Hå Gamle Prestegård (the old vicarage at Hå). Image of the week 43 – 2013
I know that my weekly blogpost have been away, but this week it’s back, and this week we’re off to Fjøløy. A favorite site I love to shoot. With this image I’ve taken inspiration from one of mine heroes in photography; Joe Cornish and his shot of Elgol at the Isle of Skye. I just loves how Joe Cornish shows the magic of nature and landscape, and I’ve tried here to also capture some of that magic. Fjøløy can be a place of tranquill relax, but also a place of high wind and roar. This image shows one of those sides. Nikon D800, Nikon AF 28mm f2.8D, Formatt Hitech ND…
