Image of the Week 45 – 2013
A new week, and that means? Yes, a new image. Also this image features one of my favorite subjects, lighthouses. This time it a small automated one. Since most of the lighthouses in Norway have been depopulated, they’ve all been automated. The buildings are still standing, but many of the old lighthouses have now been converted into something new, like museum, art gallery or vacationhome that is possible to rent in the summer season. This lighthouse here is found at Nærland, a stone throw away from Obrestad fyr (lighthouse) and Hå Gamle Prestegård (the old vicarage at Hå). Nikon D70, Tamron SP 28-70mm, Kenko Polarizer, Formatt Hitech ND. Follow Studio…

Image of the week 44 – 2013
New week and yes, a new image. Earlier I’ve presented many of my earlier images to you, by this time I thought I should bring you a newer image. This time it’s the lighthouse at Kvassheim. Nikon D800, Nikon AF 28mm f2.8D, Kenko Polarizer, Lee 0.6 ND-Grad. I’ve presented Kvassheim for you earlier. On my former blog when I was at Zenfolio, I had an image of Kvassheim when I showed you the first image I made with the aid of my Sekonic L-358 lightmeter. This shot here is also done with the aid of the same lightmeter as well as Lee filters. Two new changes for you this time.…

Image of the week 43 – 2013
I know that my weekly blogpost have been away, but this week it’s back, and this week we’re off to Fjøløy. A favorite site I love to shoot. With this image I’ve taken inspiration from one of mine heroes in photography; Joe Cornish and his shot of Elgol at the Isle of Skye. I just loves how Joe Cornish shows the magic of nature and landscape, and I’ve tried here to also capture some of that magic. Fjøløy can be a place of tranquill relax, but also a place of high wind and roar. This image shows one of those sides. Nikon D800, Nikon AF 28mm f2.8D, Formatt Hitech ND…

Some updates
As some of you may know, I’m moving from my old website at Zenfolio to Photoshelter. The move has been painless, and I must say that Zenfolio did all they could to keep me there by giving me a discount on this year, but since they can’t offer what I need, I had to leave. All in all I parted from Zenfolio with a sad heart, and a positive experience. So for those of you out there in search a good website host that offers a easy and great way to edit and setting up your website which include an integrated blog pluss great portfolio display, take a good look…

What’s happening
I thought I would give you a short update on what is happening at Studio Toffa Photography lately. Some of may have noticed that there’s been a stop in the weekly images I post, and other there has been other signs that I’ve been working on something new. This is right. After a year at Zenfolio, I’m moving my website from this serviceprovider to Photoshelter. This is not because Zenfolio have treated me bad, but the type of service they provide, don’t fit what I need. I sell most of my images as stock images or downloads, and Zenfolio is more geared toward prints. Also the webstore they have, is…

Musikkfest 2013 Stavanger
Today there have been the annual Musikkfest in Stavanger (Norway). The town have had many stages where mostly unknown local bands and performers have performed. I didn’t cover the event like I did in 2011, but just a little peek to see some of the life during the event, and to hear Joanne Kleppe play.
